How to Update Your Skills

Qualifications

What are qualifications and how are they different from teaching skills?

Qualifications are specifically achievements. Mainly academic achievements. As you can see in the picture below we need you to add 3.

Teaching Skills, on the other hand, are subjects/instruments you teach(see the picture below) such as Singing, Ukulele, French Horn, etc. along with your teaching level per instrument.

Some may easily have 3 such as their Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctorate degrees. Easy! But the rest of us need to be a little more creative.

So on your Dashboard, scroll down to Institutions Attended and hit the +.

Here, you can either type in a "real" institution, or you can add your own by hitting "Add Custom Institution" where another page will load and you can add your own.

Here you can type in any type of special training you've had in your particualar field.

Now, head back over to the Qualifications Page and add in your custom institution.

We don't expect every one of our T2T Teachers to have a college music degree. Some of our very best haven't! So this is a nice little work-around that helps us all remember even our small music achievements.

Résumé

When applying, you will be prompted to upload a résumé. This can be as fancy or simple as you desire. We recommend choosing a nice Word Document Template and filling in your information. If you'd like to follow a step-by-step guide, here's a great one.

Profile Photo

A picture says 1,000 words. They are one of the primary drivers that will make potential students want to take lessons with you. So make sure your head-shot is as high quality as possible.
